Merry Christmas was officially announced in December 2021, along with its title. Filming began in Mumbai during the same month and concluded in January 2023. The film is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2023, in both Hindi and Tamil. Initially, it was planned for release on December 23, 2022. However, to prevent a box office clash with Rohit's Cirkus, the release date was rescheduled.
