Manu Bhaker, at 22, became the first Indian woman shooter to win a bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol event at the Paris Olympics 2024.
She was also the first Indian to secure a medal at the 2024 Games.
Bhaker maintained a top-three position throughout the competition, and despite leading before the final shot, she ultimately finished in third place with a bronze.
Bhaker faced a tough time at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, where she did not reach the finals, but she has since recovered and excelled.
Bhaker’s performance included consistent high scores, with her final series seeing scores of 10.6 and 10.2.
