We have curated a list of the top 15 richest people in the world who have a net worth of over $100 billion. Combining their net worth, we have a total of $2.2 trillion, which is 13% more than last year.

According to the report from Bloomberg, there are around 15 people whose net worth exceeds $100 billion. The riches have increased by 13 percent since last year, which combined to a whopping $2.2 trillion, about a quarter of the wealth of the 500 richest people in the world.

The rise of artificial intelligence, luxury items, and shifts in global markets have all contributed to the group's record high. While each member of this entitled group has previously achieved $100 billion in fortunes, this is the first time all 15 have done so at the same time.

Over the last five months, L'Oreal heiress Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell, and Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim have all hit this milestone, some of them more than once.

At the top of the heap is Jeff Bezos, with a net worth of $205 billion. He is the founder of Amazon, Inc. He has witnessed a significant increase in fortune, largely due to owning the world's biggest online shop.

Followed by Bernard Arnault, with a net worth of $203 billion. He is the founder and CEO of LVMH, and he derives most of his fortune from the world’s largest luxury goods company.

The third spot is taken by Elon Musk, who has $202 billion. Musk's fortune has dropped by over $40 billion this year, but it is still mostly linked to his stock in Tesla Inc., the most valuable automaker in the world.

Because of the recent spike in demand for AI-related technologies that drove Dell Technologies' share prices to all-time highs, Michael Dell has seen his wealth surpass $100 billion. With $123 billion, he currently ranks 11th on Bloomberg's wealth index.

At $101 billion, Carlos Slim comes in at number 14. In 2023, the richest person in Latin America experienced a $28 billion increase in his fortune, while Gautam Adani, the Indian businessman, moved to the 13th spot with a net worth of $106 billion.

Despite economic swings, these billionaires have managed to amass fortunes, proving the significant influence of technology, luxury, and emerging markets on the division of wealth worldwide.
