Summary: Meghna Gulzar's film earned Rs 3.50 Cr on its first day of release on Monday, which is less than what Ranbir Kapoor's Animal earned on its fourth day of release.

The challenge for Sam Bahadur will be to at least maintain its pace and avoid a sharp decline in the future. The film has received mixed reviews and faces stiff competition at the box office, which could be a challenge in itself. Sam Bahadur expects an estimated total of 37 Cr at the end of the first week which is not ideal. The second weekend is critical to achieving a respectable lifetime total. Both ``Animal'' and ``Sam Bahadur'' will have a 20-day free run period before two big box office films arrive, in comedy ``Dunki'' starrer Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas' action star in Salaar.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, this film depicts the life of India's first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw. This is Vicky Kaushal's third film release this year after the box office hit Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and the disappointing film The Great Indian Family. Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh are also a part of Sam Bahadur

Historical drama film Sam Bahadur put up a brave fight against box office giant Ranbir Kapoor's Animal on the first Monday. But is that enough? According to industry tracker Sacnilk initial estimates, the Vicky Kaushal starrer was sold for Rs 3.50 Cr resulting in a significant drop in collections.

This represents a 60% reduction compared to Sunday congestion. Sam Bahadur managed to make double-digit profits on Sunday, crossing the 10 Cr mark. Sam Bahadur inched closer to its Rs 30 crore mark in India with a fourth-day overall share of 22.65%.

Sam Bahadur Box Office Collection Day 3: “Standing Up Against a Hurricane Called Animal”

Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur is slowly gaining momentum at the box office. Despite the hurricane called Animal SamBahadur is standing strong thanks to the consistent performance and positive response from the audience, says trade analyst Taran Adarsh, especially in major metropolitan areas. The film saw a surge in business on the 2nd and 3rd day, on Friday Rs 6.25 Cr, Saturday 9 Cr, Sunday 10.30 Cr and Total ₹25.55 Cr.

Commenting on Sam Bahadur's increasing box office momentum, Taran Adarsh Bollywood trade analyst wrote on Sunday, “Sam Bahadur is on day two (Saturday) and we're seeing great footfall in major cities we had even higher numbers on the day.'' On Day 3 (Sunday) it's clearly visible, Friday Rs 6.25 crore, Saturday Rs 9 crore, Total Rs 15.25 crore in India. The real test begins on the very important day 4 (Monday). In order to leave a mark, you must remain very stable in your most powerful centers. ”
