Adipurush First Day Show Tickets Sold Out at as high as Rs. 2000 in Delhi, Mumbai, and Other Cities

Advance booking is effective for the movie Adipurush with first-day show tickets for Rs. 2000 in some places of Delhi, Mumbai, and other metro cities.

With the Adipurush screening just a couple of days away, advance ticket booking is already ongoing, and the first-day first show seats are selling like hotcakes but priced as high as Rs. 2000 in metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, and others. Being a big-budget movie revolving around Ramayana, Adipurush is a multilingual period saga and will release on 16 June around the world in 3D format. The lead roles are played by Prabhas as Ram, Kirti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Laxman, Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman, and Lankesh by Saif Ali Khan.

Kirti and Prabhas were also seen at a pre-release event in Tirupati and the cast had visited the Tirupati temple to seek blessings of the almighty. For the first-day shows, some cinema halls sell tickets priced at Rs. 2000 for Adipurush. For instance, PVR Delhi: Vegas LUXE, Dwarka all the tickets of this cost are sold out. And even if PVR Select City Walk (Gold) has priced the tickets at Rs. 1800, even those are sold out. Tickets in Noida’s PVR Gold Logix City Center are selling for as high as Rs. 1650. And the same theatre is selling flash tickets at Rs. 1150.

In less luxe cinema halls, the tickets are also selling at a cheaper cost of around Rs. 250. And tickets for all the shows at Mumbai’s Jio World Drive, BKC, Maison PVR: Living Room, Luxe, are selling at Rs. 2000. At Bangalore and Kolkata, tickets are similarly highly-priced but in Hyderabad and Chennai, they are selling at a cheaper rate. The film was surrounded by controversies because of the mismatch of expectations of the audience with the imagination of how these Hindu deities look like,

And this was including the buzz cut of Saif Ali Khan who plays the role of Ravan. The boycott calls came after the team released the teaser last year in October. It was previously decided that Adipurush would hit the theatres on 11 August 2022. But after the criticism from people, the release was delayed to 12 January 2023 but that further was pushed to a later date as Om Raut took additional time to improvise on the film’s VFX.

In a recent announcement, Ranbir Kapoor said that he will donate 10,000 tickets to the movie for underprivileged children. The same was confirmed through a tweet on Thursday by Taran Adarsh, a film trade analyst. Catching the cue, Abhishek Agarwal, a Tollywood producer also said he would go ahead and donate 10,000 tickets for Adipurush across Telangana to orphanages, government schools, and old age homes.
