Bhatt, who was set to play the iconic character alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, cited scheduling conflicts as the primary reason for her departure. Fans who were eagerly anticipating the dynamic real-life duo’s on-screen interpretation of the most adored characters Ram And Sita were shocked by the news. The movie had already created a lot of hype in the entertainment world since it had promised to be a spectacle remake of an Old Indian epic Ramayana.

According to sources close to the actress, Bhatt was forced to withdraw from the Ramayana due to her hectic schedule, which includes obligations to numerous other film projects and endorsements. Despite her excitement for the job and her great desire to work alongside her boyfriend on this grand project, the conflicting dates proved to be an insurmountable challenge.

Despite expressing his disappointment at Alia's departure, the director Nitesh Tiwari said he understood how difficult her schedule was. Additionally, he stated that the search for a substitute Sita is ongoing and that the casting team is keen to find an actress who can embody the role with the same grace and nuance that Alia was anticipated to offer.

Ranbir Kapoor, for his part, is still committed to the endeavour and is looking forward to the selection of his new on-screen partner. After Alia's departure, attention is now focused on who will play Sita and whether the connection between the leads can be maintained with a new actor. Bollywood fans will definitely closely monitor the progress of this initiative as it develops over the upcoming months.
