Allu Arjun is arrested for the stampede that caused the death of a woman.
Summary: Allu Arjun is taken into custody concerning the stampede that occurred at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad.
Concerning the stampede outside a Hyderabad theater last week that claimed the life of a woman, Telugu actor Allu Arjun has been placed under custody. Mr. Arjun petitioned to postpone his detention until Monday shortly after he was brought into custody; the court hearing is scheduled for 2:30 pm.
Mr. Arjun was escorted to the Chikkadpally Police Station from his residence in Jubilee Hills. When he was arrested, the actor's father, renowned director Allu Arvind and other family members were there.
A case had already been filed by Hyderabad Police against the 41-year-old actor and a number of other people, including the administration of the city's Sandhya Theatre and members of his security detail.
A terrible stampede occurred on December 4 when a large crowd gathered at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre to see Allu Arjun. The 39-year-old Revathi died of asphyxiation, and her 8-year-old son was admitted to the hospital.
Two questions will now be the focus of the investigation: did Mr. Arjun have permission from the police to attend the theater that was hosting a special screening of his "Pusha 2: The Rule"? Additionally, did he have permission to speak with fans outside the theater, which is located near other cinema halls?
Hyderabad Police Commissioner has earlier said, “There was no intimation from the side of theatre management or actors' team... that they will be visiting the theatre.”
There was no separate entry or exit provider for the actor even though the theatre was aware of their arrival.
