Arijit Singh Spotted Exiting Salman Khan’s Residence: Have They Reconciled After 2014 Feud?
Summary: After nearly a decade of discord, Salman Khan and Arijit Singh seem to have put an end to their feud that originated on the stage of an awards ceremony.
After a feud spanning more than nine years, Salman Khan appears to have finally reconciled with the singer Arijit Singh. On Wednesday night, Arijit Singh was observed departing from Salman's residence in Mumbai. When a video of this encounter was shared by a social media user, fans began to speculate that the two have resolved their differences and may collaborate once more in the near future.
"Arijit Singh #SalmanKhan bhai k ghar se bahaar aaraha kya baat h," the fan said in the video, which was shared on X yesterday night. This set the stage for followers to speculate on what actually led to the truce. "Ye to gajab ho gaya," "Saal ka sab se bada blockbuster scene toh ye nikla," and "Wow, pata nahi kaise dosti ho gayi" were some of the responses on the post. Some speculated that they met to work on Salman Khan's forthcoming flick Tiger 3 or his next project with Karan Johar.
Salman Khan and Arijit Singh's relationship soured during an award ceremony in 2014. Arijit Singh took the stage to accept the prize, dressed casually in a chappal and appearing fatigued. The show's host, a Bollywood bhaijaan, mockingly inquired, "So gaye the (Were you sleeping)?" The singer said, "Aap logon ne sula diya (You all put me to sleep)". Salman said that it is not their fault since if songs like "Tum hi ho" continue to play, people are going to fall asleep. Arijit's songs were reportedly pulled from Salman Khan's films, namely Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, and Sultan, following the event.
Back in 2016, Arijit went to the extent of publicly apologizing to the superstar, urging him to keep his rendition of the song in Sultan. He also revealed that he had made several attempts to apologize to Salman Khan, all of which had been unsuccessful.
"Dear Mr. Salman Khan, This isn't the way I expected to communicate with you. I've made numerous attempts to text and call you, doing everything possible to convey that you've misunderstood my intentions regarding the incident where you felt insulted. I want to clarify that I never intended to insult you. It was an unfortunate moment during the show, with the wrong timing and atmosphere. However, I fully understand that you felt insulted, and I deeply regret that, given that my family and I have been longtime fans of yours. I've tried to explain this to you on numerous occasions, but it seems you didn't receive my message. I've offered my apologies, but it appears you didn't grasp them. You're aware of the many apology texts I've sent. When I visited Nita Ji's place, it was solely to extend my apology to you, but it seems you didn't understand," read the contents of the letter he had originally posted on Facebook, later taking it down.
The future will reveal whether Arijit Singh will eventually add a Salman Khan song to his library.
