Summary: Youtuber Elvish Yadav was arrested in the snake venom case by the Noida police on Sunday.

BigBoss OTT winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav was arrested on Sunday in the Snake Venom case by the Noida Police. As per the reports, he has been sent to 24-day judicial custody. Earlier, Elvish was accused of shooting videos with live snakes and snake venom and organizing rave parties in the NCR along with five other people.

People for Animals, an NGO operated by BJP Sultanpur MP Maneka Gandhi, tipped the police about the rave parties and the use of snake venoms. Police arrested five accused from the Chevron Banquet Hall in Noida, Sector 51, in November 2023. Yadav was also one of the accused but wasn’t arrested then. The police interrogated him twice and acquired related evidence.

A video of Elvish Yadav being escorted away by the police is surfacing online on social media sites, claiming news of his arrest. Additional DCP of Noida, Manish Kumar Mishra, said Elvish will soon be produced before a court. Police have found five cobras, two two-headed snakes, 20 ml of snake venom, one python, and a rat snake.

Gaurav Gupta, an officer in the NGO's animal welfare, gave a statement in the FIR that read, “We received information that Elvish Yadav, along with other gang members and YouTubers, are reported to shoot videos with snake venom and live snakes in farmhouses in Noida and NCR, as well as organize illegal rave events. On such occasions, foreign girls are often called in, and snake venom and intoxicants are taken.”

Elvish Yadav and the other five were arrested under the Wildlife Act and Section 120A of the Indian Penal Code. Elvish Yadav was recently also involved in a spat with another YouTuber, Sagar Sharma, known as Sagar Thakur.
