Summary: Bhuvan Arora recently gave an update on the second season of Shahid Kapoor's Farzi. Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon also had key roles in the series.
It's been over a year since Shahid Kapoor's Farzi premiered on OTT. Farzi Season 2, directed by Raj and DK, is currently in development and will be available shortly on Amazon Prime Video. According to a survey by Ormax, a media consultancy organization, Farzi was the most-watched Hindi web show of 2023, with a remarkable 37.1 million viewers.
It was the first show of the year to reach 30 million viewers, making it the most-watched Subscription Video-on-Demand (SVoD) series in India. Given the cliffhanger finale of Season 1, Farzi Season 2 is expected to have a similar high viewership.
In his most recent interview on YouTube with Digital Commentary, Bhuvan Arora was asked if he had any updates on the Farzi 2. "Aa rahi hai, pakka aa rahi hai. It is indeed coming. The writer's room is on. We haven't officially announced it yet, but we are. Everybody is busy at the moment. Sab log apna apna kaam kar rahe hain," Bhuvan said.
Bhuvan also talked about his experiences in the Raj & DK series, working with major names like Vijay Sethupathi and Shahid Kapoor. He said Vijay is a "fantastic actor," and Shahid is a "lovely actor." In addition, he said Kay Kay Menon is "fabulous" at what he does. While referring them to roses, the actor said he feels like an "orchid" in their presence.
Farzi season one:
We get spine-tingling moments from Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi's intensity and charisma in the narrative. Farzi has its fair share of exhilarating moments, intense feelings, hearty laughs, and terrifying scenarios. Many characters are introduced to us in Farzi, such as Sunny (Shahid Kapoor), Michael (Vijay Sethupathi), Firoz (Bhuvan Arora), Naanu (Amol Palekar), Mansoor Dayal (Kay Kay Menon), and Megha (Raashii Khanna), each of whom effectively advances the plot and gives it complexity.
