Actor Kajal Aggarwal shared her first glimpse of Kannappa, which also features Prabhas and Akshay Kumar. Kajal posted her appearance as Parvati Devi on Instagram. She described her part in Kannappa as a "dream role".

 

In the poster, she is wearing a white saree and donning heavy jewelry. The poster's tagline was, "Mother who rules over the three worlds!" Trishakti protects her devotees! In the sacred Sri Kalahasti shrine resides the holy Jana Prasunambika!"

 

She shared the poster with the caption, “A dream role indeed! Happy to be starting 2025 on this divine note.”

 

Kannapa is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, centered around the mythical warrior Kannappa, a fervent devotee of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu produced the film through his production companies, 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment.

 

Vishnu Manchu plays the nominal character, while the film also stars Prabhas, Mohanlal, R Sarathkumar, Mukesh Rishi, Mohan Babu, Preity Mukhundhan, Brahmanandam, and Madhoo. The movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English.

 

The makers previously released a video on X of Akshay Kumar receiving a warm welcome from Vishnu Manchu. The teaser for the fantasy drama was shown at the Cannes Film Festival last year. Following the screening, Vishnu posted on X: “We showcased the teaser of Kannappa here in Cannes, and it received an overwhelmingly positive response! International distributors, local Indians, and everyone who saw it loved it. I am excited and have butterflies in my stomach after witnessing such fantastic reactions.”
