The web series Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha on Disney+Hotstar will feature Kajol. According to recent Bollywood news, the popular American television series 'The Good Wife' serves as the inspiration behind the story for the Indian version series. The Bollywood actress, Kajol has a preference for strong female characters, whether it is in Salaam Venky, Gupt, Dushman, Baazigar, or the upcoming series The Trial. The actor claims that playing the role of a woman who is not weak and fragile comes easy to her. The actor portrays Noyonika Sengupta in the new Disney+Hotstar series, a housewife who has to restart her career as a lawyer following her husband's public scandal, which lands him in jail.

The Bollywood news states that The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha is directed by Suparn S Varma. According to Kajol, her decisions as an actor reflect her strong off-screen identity. "I find it simpler to play a strong, powerful character than a weak one. It comes more naturally to me to be resilient than strong, the actor revealed in a Bollywood news interview. Noyonika is a strong person, which is fantastic, but it can be difficult to play a strong person in a scenario when they are weak and vulnerable. I adore her as a character in part because of this, the Bollywood actress confirmed.

The 48-year-old claimed on Bollywood news that she could identify with Noyonika's approach to dealing with challenging circumstances. Suparn wanted me because she is a well-known person and a mother of two children; there are many other aspects of her character, I said. She is an eminently realistic woman, which is one aspect of Noyonika with whom I identify much more deeply. She will carry out her obligations even if they offend her sensibilities if she believes doing so will benefit the family. There is no one else who can do it, so she will go ahead and do it, Kajol continued.

Bollywood actor Kajol admitted that she still struggles with being modest in front of the camera. "I find it difficult. She has no idea how to be timid or ‘Sharam’. The actress does not understand the emotion, saying that humor is one genre she wishes to investigate. Kajol continued to say to Bollywood News that she has not found the right script but wanted to attempt comedy so badly, as she is also good at it in her real life.

As per Bollywood news, ‘The Trial’ is Kajol’s first long-format debut, which will appear on Disney Hotstar on July 14. The Bollywood actress claimed that although she had previously gotten multiple offers for OTT shows, only The Trial actually materialized. A lot of back and forth occurred. Kajol told the Bollywood news that she never considered what may have happened if she had done or accepted something.

I never consider a movie to be mine until I sign the contract and begin working for it, the actress stated. The OTT debut will be on The Trial, which makes Kajol very delighted.
