OMG 2 Teaser Release: Akshay Kumar Stars as Lord Shiva and Pankaj Tripathi as Faith Holder
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar posted the trailer for his forthcoming movie OMG 2 on Tuesday. The critically acclaimed 2012 film OMG-Oh My God, starring Paresh Rawal, is a prequel to the social comedy-drama. The one-minute 26-second trailer features actor Pankaj Tripathi as a believer and actor Akshay in the roles of Lord Shiva and other important figures. In contrast to Rawal's agnostic in OMG, which starred Akshay Kumar as Lord Krishna, Tripathi's character, Kanti Sharan Mudgal, is a religious believer, reports Bollywood News.
The teaser, according to Bollywood news highlights the dynamics between Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar and basically little about the plot, showing how God ultimately assists Tripathi in his struggle. Yami Gautam also appears in the movie. While OMG questioned blind faith, Bollywood News predicted that the sequel will focus on the education system. The movie's teaser was uploaded by Akshay Kumar on Instagram with the caption, "(Have faith) #OMG2Teaser out now.”
It was an instant hit in the Bollywood news and went viral. The Bollywood film OMG 2 is directed and written by Amit Rai. The movie will compete in theatrical release with Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 on August 11. Viacom18 Studio presents OMG 2 in collaboration with Cape of Good Films & Wakaoo Films. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, a Bollywood filmmaker is the creative producer of the film.
Last year, Dwivedi directed the Akshay Kumar-starring film Prithviraj. Immediately following the commercial failure of Selfiee, in which Emraan Hashmi also starred, OMG 2 will be Akshay's second theatrical movie of the year. Due to a string of box office failures, the actor has been having a difficult time at the box office. As per Bollywood news, probably OMG 2 will prove to be a change of fate for the actor.
