The Oscars 2024 (96th Academy Awards) was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, and it was a fiesta for the team of Oppenheimer. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer was nominated for the 13 categories and bagged the awards for 7 of them. Fans absolute favorites Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. won their first Oscar, while Christopher Nolan won his first ever Oscar as a director.

The Academy Award was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the fourth time, several past winners were brought up to hand out the awards on stage. The Oscar is considered the biggest award in Hollywood, one of the most prestigious awards. The award ceremony was live-streamed on the OTT platform, Disney+ Hotstar in India.

Cillian Murphy won the Best Actor award for Oppenheimer, while Robert Downey Jr. won the Best Supporting Actor for Oppenheimer. The other awards Oppenheimer took home were Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, Best Editing, and Best Picture.
