Summary: Samantha Ruth Prabhu wanted to leave Citadel: Honey Bunny leave and have either Kriti Sanon or Kiara Advani on board.

With the release of her Telugu film Yashoda and her current series Citadel: Honey Bunny on Amazon Prime Video, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has completely transitioned into an action star. The actor plays a spy in the Raj & DK series, which includes several fight sequences.

In earlier interviews, Samantha Ruth Prabhu discussed how she suffered severely while filming Citadel: Honey Bunny due to her diagnosis of myositis, a chronic inflammatory condition. She recently disclosed that she even pushed Raj and DK, the show's makers, to replace her, proposing Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon as possible replacements.

Samantha said in an interview with Galatta India that although she was thrilled to join Honey Bunny, she later doubted her ability to do so. "I didn't think that a few months later, I would request Raj & DK to choose another heroine because it was not possible. I believe I couldn't do it because of the circumstances I was in."

She went even further to suggest her replacements to the producers: “I actually sent them Kiara’s pictures and Kriti’s pictures. I remember sending four to them, saying, ‘Oh my God, she is so hot. Just look at her. She will be amazing at taking action. Please, I can’t do it. They said, ‘We know them. You don’t have to introduce us to them. We know who they are’.”

Samantha eventually completed shooting for the series along with Varun Dhawan, Kay Kay Menon, and Saqib Salim. Citadel: Honey Bunny released on Amazon Prime Video last month and was the most popular show worldwide. People praised Samantha’s performance in the show.

At the time of the trailer launch, VarunDhawan, her co-star, praised Samanth for her dedication. He said, “I’ve never been on a shoot or a creative process like that before, where I witnessed a co-actor going through such challenges. You learn a lot about human resilience and strength when you see someone battling something and still succeeding. Samantha inspired not just me but also Raj, DK, Sita, and everyone at Amazon. Her dedication to this action show is truly inspirational.
