Shark Tank Season 3: Anupam Mittal Loses His Cool at a 24 Year Old Pitcher: Says “Dramebaazi Ka Bahut Shauq Hai”
Summary: Shark Tank’s judge Anupam Mittal loses his cool after a 24-year-old says he left home and has very minimal contact with his family.
The latest episode of Shark Tank India season 3 has been in the headlines after 18-year-old Siddharth Madhav and 24-year-old Ha Tade came to pitch their innovation, a petrol detector and meter company named FuelV. These two young pitchers asked for ₹50 lakhs for 5% equity.
Following this pitch, Anupam Mitta, who’s a'shark’ in the season, asked about the background of these two entrepreneurs. To which Siddharth Madhav replied that he hails from Dehradun and he is 18 years old. However, 24-year-old Ha Tade said that he is from Itanagar, and he left his home two years ago to focus on business and has now founded a company.
To this revelation, Anupam Mittal asked why he had left his home, and Ha Tade answered, “I was studying at a reputed college, and we were sure that I would get the placement, but I didn't want to do a job. I tried making my parents understand, but they refused. I had to leave my home."
It came as a shocking revelation to the sharks after knowing that Ha Tade hasn't been in contact with his parents for the past 2 years. The sharks asked if his parents knew that he was in Dehradun, to which he replied no. The sharks then urged Ha Tade to give a message to his parents through the show, which he did, but the sharks were rather disappointed.
Anupam Mittal then lost his calm and said, “Mujhe lagta hai aapko dramebaazi ka bohot shauq hai. Zindagi chalti hai seekh se, speak the truth.” After this discussion, the sharks withdrew from the deal and asked Ha Tade to speak with his parents.
