5 Popular Bollywood Actresses Who Became Producers, Recent Being Kirti Sanon

On Tuesday, Kriti Sanon announced her entry into the world of production. Together with her sister Nupur Sanon, the Bollywood actress founded a production company named Blue Butterfly Films. The most recent actress to join the trend of becoming a producer is Kriti Sanon, as per the Bollywood news. Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra are also now producers. But before Kriti, a lot of top Bollywood actresses made the transition to producing. Either producing fresh content for themselves or supporting up-and-coming voices and artists is the motivation behind the same.

1.      Kangana Ranaut

Recently, Kangana began producing films under the Manikarnika Films umbrella. She supported Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in Sai Kabir's romance comedy Tiku Weds Sheru for Prime Video India. Additionally, Bollywood news reports that she is funding the production of her next film Emergency, in which she portrays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

2.      Deepika Padukone

As a co-producer of Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak with Fox Studios in 2020, the Bollywood star Deepika made her production debut. She played an acid attack survivor in the movie and starred opposite Vikrant Massey. In 2021, Deepika co-produced Kabir Khan's historical sports drama 83 under the Ka Productions banner. Along with Warner Bros. India, she is also working on the translation of The Intern into Hindi. Bollywood news also reveals that Deepika and Amitabh Bachchan play the parts initially performed by Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro in the slice-of-life movie.

3.      Alia Bhatt

The dark comedy Darlings, directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, was co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and Alia Bhatt for Netflix India last year. She played the lead in the critically praised movie alongside Vijay Varma, Roshan Mathew, and Shefali Shah. Eternal Sunshine Productions is Alia's label, and Bollywood News says that her goal is to produce happy, real, and timeless stories.

4.      Priyanka Chopra

In 2016 Bollywood news was brimming with articles on Madhu Chopra and Priyanka Chopra as they established Purple Pebble Pictures. They created regional movies such as the National Award-winning Marathi film Ventilator (2016) directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the Nepali film Pahuna: The Little Visitors (2018) by Pakhi Tyrewala, the Marathi film Firebrand (2019) directed by Aruna Raje, and the National Award-winning Marathi film Paani (2019) directed by Adinath Kothare.

For Netflix India according to Bollywood news, Priyanka also co-produced two of the movies she appeared in: Ramin Bahrani's 2020 English film The White Tiger, which also stars Adarsh Gourav and Rajkummar Rao, and Shonali Bose's 2019 Hindi film The Sky Is Pink, which also stars Rohit Saraf, Zaira Wasim, and Farhan Akhtar.

5.      Anushka Sharma

Anushka was one of the first Bollywood female actors in her generation to establish a production company. She co-founded Clean Slate Filmz with Karnesh Sharma, her brother. The 2015 thriller NH10 by Navdeep Singh served as their first production. As a result, they created the 2017 romance Phillauri by Anshai Lal and the 2018 horror movie Pari by Prosit Roy. Anushka played the lead in each of these movies, which encompassed Bollywood news for a long time.

Additionally, Anvitaa Dutt's horror movie Bulbbul from 2020 and her historical drama Qala from 2022, both of which star Tripti Dimri, were supported by Clean Slate Filmz.
