Air Cooled Heatsinks are devices used to dissipate heat directly by air flow. They usually consist of a metal base (such as aluminium or copper) and fin arrays, and are installed directly on the surface of heating elements (such as CPU or GPU). The core principle is to conduct heat from the metal base to the surface of the fin through forced convection or natural convection by the fan, and then take the heat away by air flow to achieve heat source cooling. The air-cooled radiator has the advantages of simple structure, low cost and convenient maintenance, and is widely used in low and medium power heat dissipation scenarios of electronic equipment (such as computers, servers) and industrial equipment (such as frequency converters, LED lamps), but the heat dissipation efficiency is greatly affected by ambient temperature, air flow and fin design (such as surface area and thermal conductivity tube configuration).
