LNG storage tank is a special structure independent of the hull, and its form has a great impact on the design of LNG transportation. There are two types of tanks for LNG carriers in the world: self-supporting tank and membrane tank. The self-supporting type includes Type A and Type B, of which Type A is prismatic or called IHISPB, and is provided with a complete secondary leak proof partition to protect all goods from leakage. The patent belongs to Ishikawa Shimizu Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. of Japan; Type B is spherical and is equipped with some secondary leak proof compartments to prevent a small amount of goods from leaking. The patent belongs to KVANERNERMOS. The membrane type can be divided into two types: Technigaz and Gaz Transport. The inner wall of the former is corrugated.
