Summary: In a heartwarming gesture at Wankhede, Rohit Sharma asks Ravi Shastri to move from the corner seat to the center.

To celebrate Wankhede Stadium's 50th anniversary, many Indian cricketers gathered at the event held in the stadium on Sunday. Mumbai's cricketing legends, both past and present, recounted their treasured recollections of playing at the historic ground during a unique portion of the event.

Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Ravi Shastri, Rohit Sharma, and Ajinkya Rahane were among the prominent figures called to the platform.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, who is frequently praised for his skill and humility, showed another one of his generous moments. Fans and cricket legends alike praised Rohit for his touching gesture towards former India head coach Ravi Shastri during the 50th-anniversary celebration of Mumbai's famous Wankhede Stadium.

Rohit Sharma joined the cricketing legends on stage at the event. As everyone else took their seats, Shastri ended up sitting in the corner. Always considerate of humility and friendship, Rohit encouraged Shastri to sit in the middle, beside Gavaskar and Tendulkar, so the senior cricketer would get the credit he deserved.

Rohit was a key player of the Indian squad under Shastri as head coach and has now received a lot of praise on social media for his considerate gesture for Shastri.

Rohit also gave fans confidence regarding India's preparations for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy during the event. He said he was confident the squad would take the trophy and even promised to hold a victory parade at Wankhede Stadium, replicating the celebrations after India's 2024 T20 World Cup victory.

On February 20, India will play Bangladesh to start their Champions Trophy campaign. On February 23, they will play Pakistan, which is a highly awaited match. On March 2, they will play New Zealand in their last league-stage match. The semi-finals, final, and all of India's matches are slated to happen in Dubai.
