Vikrant Massey Apologized to Sara Ali Khan for thinking that, She’s a Star-Kid and Her Priorities Would be Hair and Make-Up, Share a Video

Summary: Vikrant Massey had a preconceived notion about Sara Ali Khan, for which he apologized in a video.

“12th Fail” Star Vikrant Massey admits having presumptions about Sara Ali Khan in the beginning, when there was a huge debate on nepotism and star kids. He assumed that being a star kid, Sara must give a lot of priority to her hair and makeup.

But when the two got to work together in “Gaslight” along with Chintrangada Singh, Vikrant got to know how hardworking Sara is. In an interview, he opened up about this, saying he had already apologized to the actress. Now that video has been doing the rounds on social media, and netizens have so much to say about it.

In the video, Vikrant Massey is seen saying, “Unfortunately, all of us have preconceived notions, and there is a sense of understanding of nepotism and privilege. Every conversation was about this. And I fell prey to that too! And you end up believing the noise and people around you. A part of me did feel like, you know, star hai, popular star hai. I’m miles off the star circuit. Priorities shayad hair makeup hongi, which I told her, and I apologized.”

He further added, “That’s unfair, of course. I realized this in the first second when I saw the number of hours she put in and what she prioritized as an actor. I think I was really in awe of her, and I also apologize for thinking that way.” Sara Ali Khan said she doesn’t blame him for his assumptions, as she’s used to them: “I understand where I come from and who I am. There are preconceived notions attached to it, and that doesn’t bother me.”

She also said, “What I am thankful for is people being accepting and adaptable enough to allow me the opportunity to change the assumptions people have about me. Which I think he was very perceptive at. I think it took 30 minutes, and he realized that it’s not what he thought it was.” to which Vikrant Massey replied, “We would discuss scripts; we would discuss backstories. I’ve spent a lot of time with her on set. I was like, wow, what she was on set was supremely impressive. She’s one of the most hard-working actors, in fact.”
