Abhishek Twisted his Ankle, A Big Blow to India?
Summary: Abhishek Sharma’s involvement in India vs England 2nd T20I doubtful.
Abhishek Sharma, India's outstanding opener, is questionable for Saturday's 2nd T20 International match against England in Chennai, which is unfortunate. Abhishek twisted his right ankle during a workout, raising concerns for the team.
The 24-year-old was in a lot of pain and the physiotherapist came to him right away. He was missing during the net session. Even his presence in the 2nd T20 match against England is doubtful.
With 79 runs off just 34 balls, the left-handed dasher was the standout Indian batsman in the opening game. He hit five fours and eight sixes during his innings.
With seven wickets remaining, India was able to chase down 133 in 13 overs thanks to Abhishek's innings. Watching who opens alongside Sanju Samson if the batter is ruled out of the second Twenty20 International will be interesting.
Either Tilak Varma or Dhruv Jurel could fill in if Abhishek cannot. Tilak is in incredible form after being the first batter in history to score three consecutive hundreds. He might be a good choice to open alongside Sanju Samson.
Dhruv Jurel, on the other hand, hasn't participated in a T20 match since his impressive efforts in previous warm-up matches in Australia.
