India vs England: India Secures the Series Win, Their 17th Consecutive Win at Home

Summary: India beats England in the fourth Test Day, secures their 17th consecutive Test Series win at home.

India’s victory at home continues under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, and with the best squad. This victory wasn’t easy, it’s a hard fought victory and every player is responsible for this great win. With this win India maintains their streak of consecutive wins for the 17th time at home.

This win highlights the limited strategy at hands of England, with the excellent win of India, despite struggling at the start of the series. India leads the series by 3-1, the fifth test match being held at Dharamsala on March 07, 2024. Earlier when the series were at 2-2, England had hopes of winning the both upcoming matches, but somehow fell short in the fourth test and lost the series.

During the fourth day of the fourth test match the openers, captain Rohit Sharma scored 55 off 81 balls, meanwhile Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 37 off 44, a partnership of 84 runs, setting the foundation for the middle and down order. Though after their dismissals India struggled to come through, as Ravindra Jadeja and Rajat Patidar were also dismissed quickly. But Shubhman Gill and Dhruv Jurel were the stars of the match. Shubhman made 52 not out, and Dhruv 39 not out, their partnership of 72-runs pushed India to the victory, and they stayed unbeaten.

With these young talents taking India to the boundary of victory, Rohit Sharma hints that India no longer needs only the pro player to secure the win, young talents will do fair enough. Rohit had said, “When I look at them, talk to them, the responses that I get from them are quite encouraging. You will see these guys playing more regularly in this format. It’s just a start for them but there is a lot of promise,” about the young talents.
