Playing with calm assurance, she executed her stroke perfectly and finished undefeated on 69, leading India home without any late drama. Her shot selection and ability to find gaps made the target look far smaller than it actually was.

India reached the target in just 14.4 overs, losing only two wickets along the way. The ease of the win underlined the depth in the batting lineup and the balance of the side. Rodrigues’ innings rightly earned her the Player of the Match award.

With this victory, India takes a 1–0 lead in the series and sends out a clear message early on. The team will now look to carry this momentum into the remaining matches, while Sri Lanka will need to regroup quickly to stay competitive in the series.
