RCB vs PBKS Highlights IPL 2024: RCB beats PBKS by 4 wicket, with Kohli’s Smashing fifty and Dinesh karthik Finishing the Match

RCB beats PBKS, and Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik saved the day for RCB with their power-packed performances. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) kept their calm to record a four-wicket win over Punjab Super Kings (PBKS) in their second IPL match at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium on Monday. 

RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first. PBKS smashed 176/6, with their skipper Shikhar Dhawan scoring 45 off 37, Jitesh Sharma scoring 27 off 20, and Prabhsimran Singh scoring 25 off 17, but RCB’s bowlers dismissed all of them with their star performance. Yash Dayal and Mohammed Siraj were good with their bowling skills; Yash took 1 wicket and gave off just 23 runs, whereas Siraj took 2 wickets, giving off just 26 runs. 

When RCB came to bat, they got a quick start thanks to Virat Kohli's amazing batting in the powerplay, where he smashed 35 off 21 balls. Kohli came onto the field with his aggression and continued it throughout the match, smashing 77 off 49 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes. He hardly got any support from the other end as wickets were falling off quickly at the hands of Harpreet Brar and Kagiso Rabada. Kohli was eventually dismissed by Harshal Patel, their former RCB player, and the crowd just went silent for a while after the dismissal of King Kohli. 

Next came Dinesh Karthik and Mahipal Lomror, and they brought the roar back to the stadium with their outstanding batting in the death overs. Dinesh Karthik smashed 28 off 10 balls, and Mahipal Lomror smashed 17 off 8 balls. Dinesh Karthik finished it off in style by hitting a straight four to Arshdeep Singh in the last over, with four balls remaining.
