Virat Kohli slips from the top 10 spots in the ICC Test Rankings.

India's run machine, Virat Kohli, is now placed No. 12 in the ICC Test rankings, having fallen out of the top 10. Following India's defeat by Bangladesh in the opening Test match, where Kohli scored just 23 runs in two innings, this ranking is revised. 

After the India vs. England series in July 2022, the chase master experienced a run slump and dropped out of the top 10. He spent nearly eighteen months out of the top 10 until India toured the West Indies in 2023.

But he moved back to 7th position after making major impacts in the opening two games of the South Africa series earlier this year. Unfortunately, he has dropped to 12th place because of his two mistakes in the most recent home test, which cost him five points. 

Also, Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, slipped down in the rankings. His poor performance against Bangladesh moved him to the 10th position.

Kohli’s poor performance in the ongoing test series against Bangladesh made him lose five points. This is a rare setback for the seasoned player, who has made it a point to constantly be among the best in the game.
