The second season of WPL (Women's Premier League) is all set to start on Friday, February 23, 2024. The first clash is between last year’s defending champion Mumbai Indians and the runner-ups Delhi Capitals. For the last WPL season Delhi Capitals only lost two matches, two of which were against the Mumbai Indians.

Meg Lanning is the captain of Delhi Capitals, and Harmanpreet Kaur is the captain of Mumbai Indians. Last night during the practice session both teams got a surprise ahead of the match, when the bollywood Shah Rukh Khan visited them. He interacted with both the teams, gave them blessings and best wishes to perform their best.

Shah Rukh Khan taught Meg Lanning, the captain of Delhi Capitals, his iconic post, the official page of Delhi Capitals also shared the video of them doing the iconic pose, the caption read, “Kehte hai agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho, toh poori kainaat use tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.”

Even the star player of Delhi Capitals, Jemimah Rodrigues shared a heartwarming post on her Instagram with Shah Rukh Khan and other team players and wrote the caption, “Coach Kabir Khan came and gave us his blessing before the start of the WPL.” a Chak De India reference.

Shah Rukh Khan will present for the opening ceremony of TATA WPL 2024, which is going to be held in Bengaluru on February 23, 2024. The other celebrities to perform in the opening ceremony are Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, and Kartik Aaryan.
