Ranveer Singh to Start Shooting for Shaktimaan, Film to Go On the Floors in 2025

Bollywood Actor Ranveer Singh is all set to step in the shoes of Shaktimaan, our favorite superhero since childhood. Though the official announcement is yet to be made, reports say that there may be a collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Basil Joseph, as hinted by Tovino Thomas, Indian actor and producer during a instagram live session.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in the movie “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” directed by Karan Johar. Apart from Shaktimaan, Ranveer also has dates locked for his upcoming movie’s “Singham Again” by Rohit Shetty and “Don 3” by Farhan Akhtar. Don 3 will be shot in India as well as abroad for the period of seven months which will be wrapped up in March 2025, prior to which Ranveer Singh will start shooting for Shakitmaan.

According to a source, “Right after Don 3, it’s time for Shaktimaan. The film was in the writing stage for over three years now and the team has finally cracked a script that’s worthy of doing justice to Shaktimaan’s legacy. The movie will be directed by Basil Joseph, Sajid Nadiadwala the producers, under the banner Sony Pictures India.”

While Ranveer Singhs’s Singham will release in 2024, Don 3 will be a big release in 2025, and Shaktimaan is expected to release in 2026. With such big films on his plate, Ranveer will be extremely busy for the coming two years. The reports also say that Ranveer Singh is in talks with other directors as well. He’s looking for a south collaboration to do a Pan-India film.
