Actor Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin of Coldplay had already visited places of worship in India. Martin visited a number of the city's well-known temples with his girlfriend Dakota Johnson before Coldplay's January 18 show in Mumbai.
Chris Martin began his final performance at Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday by wishing the audience a "Happy Republic Day, India!" In addition, he sang his version of Vande Mataram during the concert, to enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
