Firefly the AI-based Model by Adobe Can Perform Hi-tech Functions
Adobe has launched Firefly, its generative Artificial Intelligence-based editing model. It is currently in beta testing mode. You can join it by being a part of a waitlist. The AI model Firefly will be embedded in different Adobe apps including Adobe express and Adobe creative cloud. Adobe’s Firefly will use images from Adobe Stock, its royalty-free media library along with openly licensed and non-copyright content from public domains.
Thus, the concern for copyrighted images is none here. The war between emerging image-generation platforms and copyright holders is already ongoing. For instance, Gettyimages this year sued Stability AI for using 12 million images from its platform to train its AI model. Similarly, there is a problem on the ground from the creators. Because Firefly will comprise metadata, which says that the artwork is either partially or fully AI-generated.
But Firefly according to a blog post by Adobe, will promise generative AI with power from their applications to express creative ideas that are without constraints and give better efficiency. The company also remarked that with simple gestures and prompts from users, they will bring the creative vision of people to life. On given simple prompts, Firefly can generate images like the software DallE and Midjourney, which are popular text-to-image generation tools today.
It can also help edit videos without you having to spend much time, like a professional. You do not have to put much effort into learning video editing skills with Firefly. The AI tool can identify the subject and then replace it with something else. The AI model can change the atmosphere, mood, and weather in the video. Apart from these features, Adobe is aiming to put in text-to-video editing abilities.
Firefly can add new variations and styles to objects in 3D videos. It can even generate banners and posters by getting simple text prompts. It can give tough competition to tools like Canva, which is a popular website to make posters.
