Google Pixel 9 Series Launch Moved Up to August 13: Discover What's in Store

Google is getting ready for the worldwide release of the Pixel 9 series, one month after revealing the Pixel 8a. The company hinted that the release date would be August 13. Google is yet to disclose the number of devices in the Pixel 9 series, though. According to reports, the launch was strategically timed to occur one month before Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 16 in September.

The Made by Google keynote will begin at 10 a.m. PT and will be livestreamed on YouTube. According to the event invitation, Google will highlight the best of its AI, Android, and Pixel products. We expect the new Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro to be released, and reports claim that a new Pixel Pro variant and a Pixel Fold, renamed Pixel 9 Pro Fold, may also be unveiled.

Features of Pixel 9 series

Design, performance, and functionality are all anticipated to see significant improvements with the Pixel 9 series. A conventional 6.1-inch and a bigger 6.7-inch OLED display are the two possible sizes for the Pixel 9 Pro versions. For a clear and vibrant visual experience, both panels most likely offer high refresh rates and superb color accuracy. It is anticipated that the Pixel 9 Pro variants will also have a redesigned rear with a vertical pill-shaped camera bar that is smaller than before.

Google may roll out Adaptive Touch, a new technology that improves screen response to a range of circumstances, including screen protectors and ambient variables. The Pixel 9 Pro may be available in pink, white, black, or green.

Google's proprietary CPU, the Tensor G4 chip, will power the Pixel 9 series. It is expected that this chip will significantly increase AI capabilities and performance. It was created in collaboration with Samsung and should provide improved efficiency and thermal control.

Some reports indicate that the processor improvement may not be as significant as anticipated. Additionally, the Pixel 9 Pro variants may include up to 16GB of RAM, which would enable seamless multitasking and improved performance—particularly for AI-driven apps.

Improved AI features, such as the Magic Editor, as well as fresh features powered by the Gemini Nano AI, are expected to provide powerful photo and video editing tools.
