Kurla Bus Accident: 6 killed and 49 injured in the crash

Officials announced on Tuesday that six people had died and 49 others had been injured in the terrible BEST bus accident in Mumbai's Kurla West. According to authorities, the accident happened on Monday night when a bus collided with cars and people along SG Barve Marg.

 

A crucial new information on the Mumbai Kurla bus accident has surfaced. The accused driver, Sanjay More (54), was recently hired on December 1st and has no previous bus driving experience. The driver was employed under a contract. Mumbai police have filed a formal complaint concerning the incident.

 

The BEST bus was heading towards Andheri when the driver lost control and rammed the bus into 30-40 vehicles for a 100-meter distance. The bus slammed into the Solomon Building's RCC column, breaking its compound wall.

 

The tragedy is serious and police officials have warned that the number of fatalities may increase. Given the seriousness of the catastrophe, police officials have warned that the death toll may rise.

 

Shivam Kashyap (18), Kaniz Fatima (55), Afeel Shah (19), and Anam Sheikh (20) were identified as the casualties in the Kurla BEST bus tragedy. There are still three unidentified deceased.

 

The BEST bust was traveling between Kurla and Andheri when it lost control near the white house close to the L ward office. By 9:30 p.m. on Monday, the swift bus crashed into the entrance of Ambedkar Nagar after colliding with several cars and pedestrians on the street. Approximately ten people walking, ten motorcycles, and five to six autorickshaws were involved in the crash.

 

An eyewitness of the incident said, “First the bus hit an auto and then it went on to hit vehicles one after another till it crashed into the Ambedkar Colony gate. In the melee, it rammed into several pedestrians and hawkers. There was chaos as people did not understand what was happening. It was like a terror attack. A mob chased the bus and caught hold of the driver and manhandled him until the police arrived.
