Now Add WhatsApp Account to Four Smartphones or PCs, Meta Allows Multiple-Device Accessibility

Already because of WhatsApp web, users who operate from a desktop, can access their account on multiple devices apart from the smartphone. However, Meta has come up with an update that will help users to make a WhatsApp account on more than one device, that is up to 4 devices. Meta was earlier working on the feature of multi-device availability and now the time has come to roll out this facility worldwide to the app users.

Users can link up to 4 devices against WhatsApp, and each of these devices with the app will work independently. This is true even if the primary device encounters network issues. If the companion devices have a network, then you can receive messages on it. However, remember that if the primary device is non-functional or inactive for a long time, then the application will log out by itself on all the secondary devices.

The 4 secondary devices can be either four smartphones or a smartphone in combination with PCs. You can link a companion or secondary smartphone to WhatsApp in more than one way. The company has conveyed that in the coming time, it will let the users know of more ways of doing so. However, presently, the user has to enter the phone number on the companion smartphone. The user will then receive an OTP on the primary phone.

Also, the person can add WhatsApp on a secondary device by scanning the code available on the primary phone. This can be done in multiple ways, and Meta has confirmed to release more ways of adding companion devices. Right now, one needs to enter the phone number on the secondary phone and then enter the OTP received on the primary device. Similarly, one can also add a companion device by scanning the code on the primary device.

It will help you to have a WhatsApp account on an iOS or Android device. And then you can download the app on any of the companion smartphones of these two operating systems. Meta has already confirmed the news and said that this update will reach everyone in the world within a few weeks. The company is rolling out the multiple-device accessibility of WhatsApp soon.

You have to download the latest version of WhatsApp on your iOS and Android devices to avail of this feature. To benefit from this feature, your companion and primary smartphones should have the app’s updated version installed.
