Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul: Mike Tyson Slaps Youtuber Jake Paul in the final face-off.
Summary: Boxing legend Mike Tyson slaps YouTuber Jake Paul in Friday’s showdown.
Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, smacked his opponent Jake Paul during their final encounter on Thursday, which Netflix sponsored. Following the altercation, a security team quickly seperated the two boxers before Tyson was led away.
When they finally met in person after finishing their required weigh-ins before the fight, Netflix posted a video showing the 58-year-old Tyson slapping Paul on the side of the head with his right fist. Following the heated exchange, Tyson declared, "Talk is over."
Later Paul was seen saying, “I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, that was a cute slap but tomorrow he is going to be knocked the f**k out. He hits like a b***h. It’s personal now. It’s personal now. He must die.”
He wrote on his X account (formerly Twitter), “This is a pinch me moment. I got slapped by Mike Tyson.”
Tyson, the former undefeated world heavyweight champion, reportedly pledged to unleash "Iron Mike" when he returns to the ring. Tyson has won 44 of his 50 professional boxing bouts via knockout (KO). Tyson was cited as saying, "I'm bringing the devil himself [to the ring]" during Tuesday's open training session.
Each combatant will use 14-ounce gloves for the eight two-minute rounds of the heavyweight bout. Since making his professional debut in 2020, Paul has amassed a 10-1 record, whereas Tyson's record is 50-6-2 (win-loss-no contest).
According to reports, Tyson will receive $20 million for the eight two-minute rounds in the legally sanctioned fight on Friday in Texas.
