Ola Electric introduces the 'Roadster' line of e-motorcycles, with a starting price of ₹75,000

Ola Electric has entered the electric motorbike market with the unveiling of its first set of electric motorcycles, the Roadster Series, on Thursday, August 15, during the company's annual event 'Sankalp 2024' at the FutureFactory in Tamil Nadu.
Based on its Gen 3 platform, this is the first-ever electric motorcycle series from the company. In India, Ola Electric presently sells the greatest quantity of electric scooters.
The first bike in the series will be the Roadster Pro, with an introductory price of ₹1.99 lakh or ₹2.49 lakh. The deliveries will begin in Diwali 2025. The Roadster, the next bike in the series, will go on sale for ₹1.05 lakh to ₹1.39 lakh as an introductory price. The first deliveries are scheduled for January 2025.
Ola Electric has also introduced the Roadster X, which is priced between ₹74,999 and ₹99,999 at launch. The first deliveries are scheduled for January 2025.
The Ola Electric Roadster X
Among the three, the Roadster X is the most reasonably priced. With a starting price of ₹74,999, it boasts a 200 km claimed range on a single charge and a 2.5 kWh battery pack.
The motorcycle can go from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a maximum speed of 124 km/h. The Roadster X has a 4.3-inch touchscreen and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Ola Electric Roadster
Starting prices for the Roadster, or mid variation, are ₹1,04,999 for the 2.5 kWh model, ₹1,19,999 for the 4.5 kWh variant, and ₹1,39,999 for the 6 kWh variant.
Its highest speed is 126 km/h, and it takes 2.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h. In addition to diamond-cut alloy wheels, the Roadster boasts a larger 7-inch touchscreen.
The Ola Electric Roadster Pro
The top variant, the Roadster Pro, is available for ₹1,99,999 for the 8 KWH model and ₹2,49,999 for the 16 KWH version as an introductory price.
Although the price of this motorcycle is significantly higher than that of the other two versions, it can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 1.2 seconds and is said to have a top speed of 194 km/h.
The Roadster Pro is equipped with an even larger 10-inch touchscreen and an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).
Other Announcements
Ola Electric announced the release of MoveOS 5, a new software upgrade for their electric cars, along with the launch of group navigation on Ola Maps.
Ola scooters will now come equipped with the Krutrim AI Assistant and an AI-based tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
