PM Modi?s Mother Heeraben Passes Away at the Age of 100, Cremated in Gandhinagar
Heeraben Modi, the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taken to a hospital in Ahmedabad where the breathed her last. She was 100 years of age. Tributes across the country were poured on the event of her demise. PM Modi reached at Gandhinagar in Gujarat on Friday, 30 December 2022 to complete his mother’s last rates. Somabhai Modi, brother of India’s current Prime Minister, and his other family members are also present at the Sector 30 cremation ground.
Last reported, he carried her mortal remains on his shoulder in the morning and attended the rituals with a heavy heart. Modi’s mother passed away at around 03:30 AM today at the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center in Ahmedabad. She was known to suffer from health issues this week.
The sources from the Modi family have thanked the citizens for sending their tributes and prayers and requested them to go ahead with the commitments and schedules as decided before. They also appealed to the masses to keep the departed soul in their prayers and thoughts and to continue with their pre-decided routine as that shall be a befitting tribute to Heeraben Modi.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress General Secretary tweeted in Hindi that she received the unfortunate news of PM Modi’s mother’s demise and prayed that may God help Shri Narendra Modi ji and his family members with courage in the moment of pain and give the departed soul a place in his holy feet. She then ended the tweet with an Om Shanti chant.
Rahul Gandhi of Congress who is presently at Bharat Jodo Yatra also conveyed his respect in a tweet in Hindi that he is grieved at the news of Heeraben Modi’s demine, who was the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the incident made him extremely said. He extended his deepest condolences to PM Modi and his family in this difficult time.
Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, and Smriti Irani, Poet Dr. Kumar Vishvas Former Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu, Chief Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Yogi Adityanath, Congress Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi also sent their last respects to the departed soul.
