Ratan Tata’s will shows his immense love for dogs and his loved ones.

Summary: Ratan Tata’s testament shows the legacy he has left behind and his love for dogs and his loved ones.

Ratan Tata was a well-known businessman in India. His stakes, properties, and personal assets are neatly organized in his will, forming an impressive legacy. He passed away on October 9.

The issue of Ratan Tata's fortune and its beneficiaries has been receiving more attention, even though Noel Tata is currently in charge of managing the Tata Group's commercial legacy.

A major portion of his wealth, mainly his shares in various Tata Group companies, including Tata Motors and Tata Sons, will be transferred to the Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation (RTEF), a non-profit organization established in 2022.

This move is in line with the Tata family’s long and old tradition of donating shares to charitable trusts, ensuring that the wealth continues to contribute to society. Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran may lead the foundation.

After his last dog passed away, the philanthropist and businessman adopted the German Shepherd about six years ago. Tito will be looked after by Rajan Shaw, his longtime cook.

Tata has given assets to his foundation, brother Jimmy Tata, half-sisters Shireen and Jeanna Jeejabhoy, housekeepers, and others, totaling an estimated Rs 10,000 crore. Shantanu Naidu, the industrialist's executive assistant, and Subbiah, his longstanding butler, were both mentioned in his testament.

Regarding Ratan Tata's private assets, Ewart Investments, a fully-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, is the owner of his famous home, Halekai House in Colaba, Mumbai. Ewart will have the final say over this property's future.

While its destiny is still unknown, he also designed the Alibaug bungalow. Ratan Tata and other family members inherited the Juhu family mansion, which has apparently been for sale for more than 20 years and could be sold soon.
