Reliance Jio Al-Cloud welcome offer: 100GB free cloud storage
Summary: Reliance Jio has announced a JIO cloud storage plan offering 100 GB of cloud storage for free.
The Jio AI-Cloud Welcome offer was revealed by Reliance Jio last week during the company's 47th annual general meeting (AGM). People can save their data on up to 100GB of free reliance cloud storage under the offer, which poses a challenge for businesses like Google and Apple that charge for similar cloud storage.
Where Google is offering 100GB of cloud storage for a subscription of ₹130 and Apple is offering 50GB of cloud storage for ₹75, Jio cloud storage services will be free of charge.
Neil Shah, the founder of technology consulting firm Counterpoint Research, said, “Jio has brought a very lucrative proposition for an average phone user in India who struggles to upgrade memory because of paid storage.”
This comes at the same time that rival Western businesses like Microsoft's Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are facing competition from other Indian startups like Ola and MapMyIndia.
About Reliance Jio Cloud Storage Plan
Users can receive up to 100GB of free cloud storage as part of the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome promotion. According to the firm, users can "securely store and access all their photos, videos, documents, and other digital content and data" with the Jio AI-Cloud welcome offer.
The offer is scheduled for Diwali. Jio added that to fulfill its mission of offering "a powerful and affordable solution where cloud data storage and data-powered AI services are available to everyone everywhere," the firm will also deliver the "most affordable prices in the market for those needing even higher storage."
The company also introduced the connected intelligence concept, a cloud-based delivery mechanism for AI services and the data they review. With low-latency broadband connections, consumers can access their information and use AI capabilities from any location and device.
