Rishabh Pant Meets with a Car Accident in Haridwar, Sustained Several Injuries but is Out of Danger

The Indian cricketing star, Rishabh Pant was in a massive car accident in Haridwar. He sustained several injuries on the head and a ligament injury to his right ankle. Reportedly the treatment is ongoing and he is out of danger. The wicketkeeper-batsman’s car crashed on a railing and road dividers near Uttarakhand’s Roorkee, eventually catching fire. The unfortunate incident took place early in the morning.

The sportsman was driving the car himself when he lost control of the car, and the vehicle hit the divider. The car was totally damaged and due to the impact, Pant was thrown out of the windscreen. After this, the car caught fire instantly and went down to blaze within minutes. The fire tenders extinguished the fire on reaching the spot.

Pant was supposedly on his way to Roorkee, Delhi, which is his hometown, and this is when the accident took place. He was initially taken to a nearby private hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Dehradun. Though Rishabh suffered from injuries, he is recuperating.

The Indian Premier League franchise, Delhi Capitals was the one to confirm the news and wrote that Pant had a car accident between Manglaur and Narsan, situated in the Haridwar district. He is now receiving treatment in a Dehradun hospital after being shifted from a hospital in Roorkee.

The government also issued a statement that Rishabh’s car was near Mohammadpur Jat when it met with an accident at 5:30 AM. The area is under the Mangalore police station in Hardiwar. Pant was rushed by 108 ambulance and local police to Saksham Hospital in Roorkee and then referred to Dehradun.

The CM of the state government, Pushkar Singh Dhami said that they would bear the expenses for the treatment. He has asked the officers to ensure that the esteemed crickets receive proper care, treatment, and arrangements necessary for the treatment. He also prayed for Pant’s speedy recovery and promised that even if an air ambulance is needed that will be provided.

Members of the cricket world and fans have wished for Rishabh’s speedy recovery as well. Out of them, former Indian cricketer and head of National Cricket Academy VVS Laxman in his tweet wrote that is thankful that Pant is out of danger and is praying for him. Indian cricket commentator and journalist Harsha Bhogle also said that he is keeping Pant in his thoughts and prayers, and wishes he recovers soon.
