During an Instagram AMA (Ask me anything), Shruti was questioned about whether she was single or committed. She said, "I don't really enjoy answering these questions, but I am single, unwilling to mingle, only focusing on work and enjoying my life."

This is her first time talking about her breakup with Santanu. Shruti Haasan and Santanu Hazarika would often post romantic photos of each other on social media. However, the two are said to have started living separately a month ago.

Shruti Haasan and Santanu Hazarika ended their relationship in April, after nearly four years together. According to the Hindustan Times, the pair broke up in March. "They ended their relationship last month. They chose to part ways peacefully due to personal wavelength concerns. Shruti Haasan asked the media for privacy and declined to respond, as did Santanu Hazarika," said an insider.

The rumors got fueled after Shruti Haasan and Santanu Hazarika unfollowed one another on Instagram. Shruti Haasan has also removed all photos of them from her social media accounts.

Shruti and Santanu's friendship grew into love. His artistry caught Shruti's attention while she worked on her book, including her poems, and Santanu worked as an illustrator. The couple dated for a few years but broke up last month.

On the work front, Shruti’s next film is Dacoit: A Love Story, which stars Adivi Sesh. She will also appear in Chennai Story, an English film based in Tamil Nadu. Salaar: Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam is also in the works, in which she stars alongside Prabhas.
