Wamiqa Gabbi on Charlie Chopra Sony LIV Series, She Prepared Well for the Role Out of Her Comfort Zone

Wamiqa spoke on her four-month preparation for Charlie Chopra with Vishal Bhardwaj, including seminars. A Bollywood actor must maintain a proper balance between meticulous preparation and spontaneity on a Vishal Bhardwaj set. As per Bollywood news, Wamiqa Gabbi, who collaborated with the director on his scene in Modern Love Mumbai (2022), Fursat, and the upcoming Khufiya, is all too aware of this. With back-to-back projects, Wamiqa is all set to explore new heights and challenges with fervor.

However, Gabbi claims that the Bollywood filming of their most recent project, Charlie Chopra, was entirely focused on schoolwork. She recalls to Bollywood News, "I have never read scripts as frequently as I read Charlie Chopra." They both have earlier worked on Modern Love Mumbai and Fursat. Beginning with classes with theater actor Daminee Benny Basu, her preparation for the SonyLIV series is the reason for her hard work and a new outlook toward life.

The Bollywood news reports that the series also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Lara Dutta, and Priyanshu Painyuli—which began in December of last year.  She was prepared for the camera when Bhardwaj began filming the mystery thriller. This happened in March of this year in Manali thanks to those, as well as reading sessions with the director and actors, states Bollywood News. Reviewing the scripts several times not only helped her boost as a character.

"All the reading sessions with Vishal sir and the team improved my understanding of the subtleties of this world," says Gabbi to Bollywood News. Normally, you have concerns about Bollywood characters and circumstances, but in this case, I felt prepared. It seemed like I was well-informed, the actress expanded on her experience. A version of Agatha Christie's The Sittaford Mystery, the thriller recently released its debut episode online.
